Race for the Cure 2009

This was the 1st race without mom. This year instead of walking in celebration of of her we had to walk in memory of her. I cried as I wrote this on the signs we wore on our backs. The day of the walk was exactly 10 months since she died. Sometimes it still doesn't feel real. I miss her so much. It's been especially hard being back home. Memories flood my mind here. But, we made it through the day and that's all we can do.
Maryssa's picture was on the front of the Morning News. Go to: http://nwabehindthelens.com/2009/04/25/ozark-komen-race-for-the-cure/

Aunt Marie, Pop, Maryssa, Me, My cousin Sandy and her daughter Mariah

We were handed pink carnations at the race so after it was over we took them to Mimi's grave.
