Dance Class

Maryssa started taking dance this fall. She doesn't seem to like it as much as she liked gymnastics. Which actually surprised me. I think it has a lot to do with the insturctor not the actual dance. Mrs. Lynn is a good teacher. Maryssa is learning alot from her but, she's just a little strick. Whick for the most part is not a bad thing it's just different from her teacher at gymnastics who was just a big kid himself. She has her first recital in January.

Parents as Teachers preschool class

Maryssa participated in a preschool class for 3 year olds, last year through May of this year. It was a wonderful experience.

Bonkers

One of Maryssa's favorite places to go is Bonkers. It's a kid's play place. These are some pictures of Maryssa and a few of her friends at Bonkers.

4th Birthday

It was the perfect little girls birthday party. The kind little girls dream of. We had a princess dance party. As they girls arrived they were pampered and given a beautiful tutu. Each girl got their hair curled, nails painted and make up done. When we were finished pampering the girls a friend of mine taught them a wonderful ballet dance. Then we had cake, topped with a beautiful crown, and fondue. I think I had as much fun as the girls did!

April 2007 Race for the Cure

Maryssa and I always make trip to Arkansas in April to walk with my mom in the race for the cure. As many of you know my mom is in treatment for breast cancer at this time. She's my hero. I've always loved and respected my mom. And, I've always know that she was strong but, as I watched her go through this process my respect for her has grown. This is a women that has endured chemo for 3 years with not so much as one complaint. She continues to stay active and travels as much as possible. If you were to meet her and didn't know she was in treatment for cancer you'd never know it. Thanks mom for being such a shining example to me, my daughter and everyone!

Below: I just love this pic. This was a little girls that was walking in front of us. I don't know her but, she made tears come to my eyes. What a statement she made that day!
